Earthquakes and tropical storms have caused great damage in Haiti, Rebuilding has relied on masonry construction. In order to make these masonry structures more resilient iron has become more important. Which has led to a great need for trained iron workers and particularly welding.
Our partners in Haiti have been asked repeatedly about learning this trade. Due to the generosity of our donors, this training has begun.
These new tradesmen are learning quickly and progress is being made.
